Manager, Digital Marketing

New York City Ballet seeks a full-time Manager, Digital Marketing to join an expanding marketing department. Position will play a vital role in the digital marketing efforts of New York City Ballet to further the institutional brand, and promote the Company’s 112-performance annual repertory season and holiday presentation of George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker™ at Lincoln Center, as well as touring activities nationally and internationally. The Manager, Digital Marketing will work closely with all members of the marketing department to grow audiences and meet revenue goals.



RESPONSIBILITES
  • Lead in the creation of annual digital marketing plans, including but not limited to email marketing communications, social media, LCPA InfoScape, David H. Koch Theater lobby video loops, and nycballet.com
  • Manage the implementation of annual digital marketing plans
  • Steward the creation of content required for all digital marketing efforts including copywriting, art selection and production trafficking
  • Strategize and mange all social media messaging and promotions
  • Support online advertising, SEO, & SEM activities, ensuring integration with other digital efforts.
  • Serve as main Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts liaison for all matters related to the LCPA InfoScape
  • Coordinate with other NYCB departments as needed regarding content to be included on theater lobby video loops
  • Coordinate marketing homepage content with Producer, Digital Web
  • Work with Producer, Digital/Web, and colleagues in Development Department to create email calendar and maintain list management
  • Provide support to Producer, Digital/Web as needed for the NYCB e-newsletter
  • Utilize Google Analytics, and various A/B testing methods to increase email response rates
  • Provide regular campaign reports using social media insights and email statistics
  • Conduct best practices research regarding email and social media marketing, keeping abreast of the latest trends
  • Maintain email vendor relationship
  • Maintain an organized archive of digital media efforts
  • Maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of chosen email deployment platform/s and the Tessitura software system
  • Manage budget for all digital marketing efforts, and process invoices as needed
  • Serve as a department proofreader
  • Assist with other marketing and promotional activities as needed
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3-5 years work experience
  • Experience with social media community management and email marketing required
  •  A demonstrated affinity/passion/interest in ballet and/or in NYCB a plus
  • Strong writing and proofreading skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
  • Strong customer service skills in working with internal clients/stakeholders
  •  Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and be flexible in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
  • Reliable self-starter with an ability to take initiative and work both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability and willingness to work evenings and weekends for pre- and post-performance marketing activities
  • Knowledge of MS Office
