Mr. Thew was born in Hertfordshire, England, and began studying dance at the Tring Park Arts Educational School in Hertfordshire. As a child, he performed in the English National Ballet’s production of The Nutcracker. Mr. Thew began studying at the School of American Ballet, the official school of New York City Ballet, during the summer of 2005, and enrolled as a full time student in winter 2006. He became an apprentice with NYCB in October 2007 and joined the Company as a member of the corps de ballet in the fall of 2008.
