An evening of contemporary music, Christopher Wheeldon's two latest works for NYCB are bookended by Black Swan choreographer Benjamin Millepied's Two Hearts and Peter Martins' audience favorite Hallelujah Junction.

    With geometric black and white costumes by Rodarte, Two Hearts is a constantly shifting profusion of steps and shapes that ends with a soulful pas de deux to a bittersweet ballad.

    At the 2013 Spring Gala, NYCB will premiere Christopher Wheeldon's Soirée Musicale, originally choreographed for the School of American Ballet's annual workshop performance in 1998.

    The second of two new ballets by Christopher Wheeldon premiering at the 2013 Spring Gala will be a pas de deux to scores for clarinet and piano by André Previn and Leonard Bernstein.

    Hallelujah Junction is a living locomotive of driving energy, set to a pulsing John Adams score played by two onstage pianists.
