Spring Gala

Celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the American Music Festival

Wednesday, May 8, 2013

New York City Ballet will pay tribute to its extraordinary repertory of American music and dance at this one-time-only gala performance. Featuring music by Samuel Barber, Leonard Bernstein, George Gershwin, Philip Glass, and John Philip Sousa, the evening will include excerpts from signature works by George Balanchine and Jerome Robbins as well as two premieres from Christopher Wheeldon — the first will be a New York City Ballet premiere of a work originally created for the School of American Ballet's Workshop in 1998 and now newly revised, and the second will be a world premiere pas de deux. After the cocktail reception and stunning performance, a glamorous Supper Ball awaits over 800 gala attendees on the Theater's Promenade and Terrace. Transformed by dazzling décor and open to the warm spring air, this star-studded benefit is always a night to remember.

Spring Gala has reached capacity and we are unable to accommodate new performance and dinner ticket requests at this time. New ticket requests will be placed on a wait list and filled on a rolling first-come, first-served basis.

Should you like to be placed on the wait list or make a contribution in support of the Company or the Gala Chairmen, please contact the Special Events office at (212) 870-5585 or specialevents@nycballet.com. As a reminder, gala ticket(s) are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged. Thank you in advance for your understanding and continued support.
