We are pleased to offer our Members and one guest the opportunity to attend NYCB working rehearsals. These visits are a chance to see a part of the Company’s daily routine usually closed to the public. Remember, these are actual rehearsals, not staged dress rehearsals.
Working Rehearsal Details
Location: In the auditorium of the David H. Koch Theater. Seating is in the rear of the First Ring.
Time: Tuesday through Friday; between 12 noon and 6 pm, for approximately two hours.
During NYCB's repertory seasons rehearsals are held during September/October, January/February, and May/June. Please note that dates do not include rehearsals of George Balanchine's The Nutcracker™.
Working rehearsals are held Tuesday - Fridays only. Members may place requests until 5 PM three days prior to the requested date. No same-day requests will be taken. Each Member may bring one guest; children age 10 and up are welcome to attend.
To ensure the greatest artistic flexibility, rehearsal schedules are not finalized until late in the evening before a rehearsal day. Therefore, we cannot tell Members in advance what program will be rehearsed, or the exact time of day, until the morning the reserved date. On the morning of your reserved date, please call 212-870-5665, and a recorded message will inform you of the exact time to arrive at the theater.
Check back after July 1 to reserve dates for Fall 2016 and Winter/Spring 2017 working rehearsal visits.
