Christropher d'Amboise received his entire ballet training at the School of American Ballet -- from 1967 to 1978. He was invited by George Balanchine to join New York City Ballet in 1978 and promoted to principal in 1984. He has created over 60 ballets for companies worldwide including: San Francisco Ballet, The Pennsylvania Ballet, The National Ballet (Amsterdam) Royal Ballet of Flanders (Belgium) and NYCB. Outside the US, his work has been presented in over 20 countries including England, Czechoslovakia, The Netherlands, France, Belgium and Portugal.
