Background
Alina Dronova was born in Kharkov, Ukraine, and began her dance training at the age of five at the Kharkov Choreographic School. In 1996, she began studying full-time at the School of American Ballet (SAB), the official school of New York City Ballet. Ms. Dronova became an apprentice with New York City Ballet in October 2000 and she joined the Company as a member of the corps de ballet in October 2001.
