Background
Born in Fort Worth, Texas, Kyle Froman began his ballet training at age 13 with Fort Worth Ballet under the direction of Paul Mejia, a former member of New York City Ballet, and Victoria Fedine. Mr. Froman attended summer sessions at the School of American Ballet (SAB), the official school of New York City Ballet, from 1991 to 1994. He was a member of Fort Worth Ballet from 1993 to 1994 before entering SAB full time in the fall of 1994. While at SAB, Mr. Froman danced a featured role in George Balanchine's The Four Temperaments for SAB's Workshop in 1995. He also participated in the SAB lecture demonstrations. Mr. Froman became an apprentice with New York City Ballet in the spring of 1995, and he was invited to join the Company as a member of the corps de ballet in the spring of 1996.

Honors
Mr. Froman was the first recipient of the Rudolf Nureyev Scholarship (1994) while at SAB, along with his twin brother Kurt, who is a former member of New York City Ballet.
