Courtney Muscroft was born in Columbus, Ohio, and began studying ballet at 8 with Columbus Youth Ballet.  When she was twelve, Ms. Muscroft studied for a year at Canada’s National Ballet School in Toronto.  She attended summer courses at the School of American Ballet, the official school of New York City Ballet, in 2001, 2002, 2003, and became a full time student that fall.  In March of 2006, Ms. Muscroft was asked to be an apprentice with New York City Ballet and become a member of the corps de ballet in February 2007.

Ms. Muscroft received first place at the 2002 Youth American Grand Prix.
