Elizabeth Walker was born in Columbia, South Carolina, and began her dance training in Charleston, South Carolina with Don and Patricia Cantwell. She continued her studies in Columbia, South Carolina, with Ann Brodie. Ms. Walker attended the summer session at the School of American Ballet (SAB), the official school of New York City Ballet, in 1986 and enrolled as a full-time student in 1987. Ms. Walker became an apprentice with New York City Ballet in May of 1990 and was invited to join the corps de ballet in June 1991. |
