What: New York City Ballet continues it's 50th Anniversary Celebration with the Spring Gala performance of the American premiere of Peter Ilyitch Tschaikovsky's full-length
Swan Lake, choreographed by Peter Martins and designed by Per Kirkeby.
Swan Lake, which will be presented through May 9, is one of the most important and compelling works in ballet and has captivated audiences since the original 1895 Petipa-Ivanov staging.

In order for members of the Press to attend the Spring Gala premiere of Swan Lake, a limited number of tickets in the Third Ring @$42 (singles only, one per person) will be available for sale from Monday, April 12, through Thursday, April 15, between 11:00 AM and 6:00 PM. New York City Ballet's Spring Season runs through June 27, 1999. For all performances following the Spring Gala (Swan Lake and Repertory), press ticket requests will be taken each Monday after 11:00 AM.
Proceeds from the 1999 Spring Gala will go toward NYCB's Repertory Fund which provides major support for new works and festivals, important revivals, and the ongoing conservation of the Company's active repertory.
