The Making of...

In the spring of 2000, Palm Pictures, in collaboration with New York City Ballet, produced the New York City Ballet Workout DVD and Video. The filming took place at the Screen Gems Studio in North Carolina from March 5-10, 2000. The New York City Ballet Workout DVD and video was released for sale worldwide on March 27, 2001. The New York City Ballet Workout is an exercise regimen developed by Peter Martins and New York City Ballet with Peter Frame, Melinda Roy, and Anne Marie Miller in association with New York Sports Club. New York City Ballet Workout: Fifty Stretches and Exercises Anyone Can Do for a Strong, Graceful, and Sculpted Body is published by William Morrow and Company, and is available in bookstores everywhere. The NYCB Workout is currently part of NYCB's education program, offered for gym credit in NYC public high schools throughout the city.
