EMILY ERIN ADAMS

Emily Erin Adams attended summer sessions at the School of American Ballet from 1999 to 2002, after which she was awarded an honorary scholarship to enroll as a full-time student. Prior to attending the School of American Ballet, Ms Adams studied with Julie Caprio, Lincoln Jones, and Christina Fagundes. In November 2003, she performed in George Balanchine’s Serenade for the Opening Night Benefit of New York City Ballet’s Balanchine Centennial Celebration. During the winter 2003 season, she danced in George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker™ at the Rich Forum, Stanford Center for the Arts in Connecticut. In January 2004, she danced in Michel Fokine’s Chopiniana as part of New York City Ballet’s winter repertory season. Ms. Adams’ music training includes 13 years of piano study with Duckshin Cho, classical cello study with Laurie Levin Porter, and music history with Jeffrey Middleton at the School of American Ballet. Her choreographic credits include a ballet to Claude Bollings’ Baroque in Rhythm for the School of American Ballet Fall 2003 Choreographic Workshop; Celtic Winds, a ballet set to the music of the group Leahy, which was first performed in 2000, and, in partnership with her sister Paige Adams, ballets to the music of Amy Grant, Yolanda Adams, and Kenny Rogers.
