PAUL JULIUS
Paul Julius was born in Nuremberg, Germany, and grew up in Basel, Switzerland, where he took his first ballet lessons. He began his training at the Iwanson School of Contemporary Dance in Munich and the Golovine Acadamy of Classical Ballet in Paris. Mr. Julius made his professional debut as a dancer at the State Theater in Oldenburg, Germany, in 1993. In 1998, he joined the ballet ensemble at the City Theater in Bremerhaven, Germany. He has been a soloist and a choreographer at the Mecklenburg State Theater in Schwerin, Germany, since 2000. Mr. Julius created his first choreographic works Black Rider, Train-Spotting, Family Jungle and Together during his time with the State Theater in Oldenburg. Further ballets, among them, Relations, Hold Prisoner, and Beautiful Life followed for the Mecklenburg State Theater.
