Inma Rubio Tomas began her study of dance at the Superior Conservatorium of Music and Dance in her hometown of Valencia, Spain. She received the Grant Conselleria de Cultura de Valencia to study at the Royal Conservatorium of Den Haag in Holland, and has also trained in private schools in Madrid, Malaga and Alicante. Ms. Tomas has created numerous choreographic works for Scapino Ballet (Rotterdam), Choreographic Center of Valenica, and Balletto Dell’Esperia. She has choreographed for film and computer animation. In 1999, 2000 and 2003, Ms. Tomas was nominated Best Female Dancer by Generalitat Valenciana Art Scene Prizes, and in 2003 she was a finalist at Burgos/New York Choreography for Standing for Zero. Ms. Tomas recently completed a new work for the Dansa Valencia Festival, and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Laban technique.
