MIAO ZONG

Miao Zong graduated in 1993 from the Beijing Dance Academy in Beijing, China after five years of training.   Mr. Zong danced as a soloist with Jeune Ballet de France and National Ballet of Caracas before joining Ballet du Capitole de Toulouse as a soloist in 1996, where he danced until 2002.  In June 2001 he received a teaching diploma from the French Ministry of Culture in Toulouse.  Mr. Zong danced with Boston Ballet until 2004, where he choreographed Le Chant de Dieu for Raw Dance 2004, and he is currently a soloist at the Ballet National L’Opera du Rhin in Mulhouse, France.  Mr. Zong has danced leading roles in George Balanchine’s Mozartiana, Prodigal Son, and Who Cares?, Peter Martins’ Fearful Symmetries, Richard Tanner’s Ancient Airs and Dances, and ballets choreographed by Mark Morris, Jirí Kylián and Vincente Nebrada among others.
