Featuring scores by five composers, this program starts with three short works by Peter Martins; the supremely elegant Sophisticated Lady, the slinky The Infernal Machine, and the athletic pas de deux Purple, followed by the accelerated contemporary choreography of Martins' Hallelujah Junction. Closing the performance is Jerome Robbins'audience favorite West Side Story Suite, a dance distillation of the Broadway show that even has the dancers singing.
