Following Balanchine's breathtakingly elegant Serenade are three contemporary pieces: Tanner's Sonatas and Interludes is an angular five part pas de deux, Justin Peck contributes a new work for NYC audiences, In Creases, and N.Y. Export: Opus Jazz is a playful ballet in sneakers for a youthful cast.

The first ballet Balanchine choreographed in America is a romantic work of immense sweep, set to a transcendent Tschaikovsky score.

Working their way through five piano pieces by John Cage, two dancers unfold through the fluid yet crisp movements of this quirky pas de deux.

Peck’s first work for the Company, to a score by Philip Glass, receives its NYC premiere in Spring 2013, following its world premiere during the Company’s 2012 engagement at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center.
