Four ballets with dynamic inspiration: Stravinsky incorporated Tschaikovsky’s melodies into his poignant divertimento; the score for Tschaikovsky Pas de Deux was originally composed for Swan Lake; Peter Martins’ Bal de Couture takes its cue from stunning costumes by legendary designer Valentino; and Diamonds, the third act of Balanchine’s plotless full-length Jewels, is an homage to his Russian heritage.

Divertimento from 'Le Baiser de la Fée'
- Music by: Igor Stravinsky
- Choreography by: George Balanchine
Incorporating melodies by Tschaikovsky, Stravinsky’s divertimento is the passionate yet mysteriously foreboding groundwork for Balanchine’s ephemeral choreography.
Tschaikovsky Pas de Deux
- Music by: Peter Ilyitch Tschaikovsky
- Choreography by: George Balanchine
- Principal Casting: May 21: Megan Fairchild, Andrew Veyette (replaces Joaquin De Luz)
  June 5: Megan Fairchild, Gonzalo Garcia
Set to music originally composed for Swan Lake, this virtuosic ballet is beautiful and beloved — a 9-minute adrenaline rush for dancers and audiences alike.
Bal de Couture

Diamonds
- Music by: Peter Ilyitch Tschaikovsky
- Choreography by: George Balanchine
With its symphonic Tschaikovsky score, Diamonds venerates the regality of Balanchine’s native Russia for an elegant and romantic experience.
