A program of innovation and tradition, Martins' The Waltz Project deconstructs the waltz into ten sections varying in their mood and meter, N.Y. Export: Opus Jazz looks back to a time when kids took to the streets to dance in their sneakers, and Tschaikovsky Piano Concerto No. 2 closes the evening with a return to sparkling, classical purity.

A sparkling display of ballet classicism, Tschaikovsky Piano Concerto No. 2 is Balanchine's tribute to his Imperial Russian heritage.
