Featuring three of Balanchine's biggest and boldest, Western Symphony gets the program started with its familiar melodies and old west charm before turning the reins over to Symphony in Three Movements, a thrilling leotard ballet with an electric Stravinsky score. Symphony in C is a dazzling end to an impressive program, closing with its ballerinas spinning and soaring in glittering Swarovski tutus.
