The Legacy of George Balanchine's Apollo
Join us as we explore the masterwork George Balanchine referred to as the “turning point” in his life: Apollo. Choreographed in 1928 for the Ballet Russes, Apollo is one of the oldest Balanchine ballets in NYCB’s repertory and the first major work created with his long-time collaborator Igor Stravinsky. See Apollo anew at this presentation, which will feature coaching demonstrations led by Ballet Master in Chief Peter Martins, and hear insights from the NYCB dancers who have performed this iconic ballet.
ON SALE TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC SUNDAY, DECEMBER 3, 2017 AT NOON.
