BEQUESTS

Remembering New York City Ballet with a bequest in your will is the simplest way for you to ensure your lasting legacy and commitment to the artistic vision forged by George Balanchine and Lincoln Kirstein.  By supporting the Company in this way, you retain control of your assets and your estate may save on estate taxes later on.

You may specify a dollar amount, percentage of your estate, or whatever is left over after designated distributions have been made to your loved ones.  Here are some examples of bequest language that can be used in a will, codicil or trust, which you can share with your legal counsel:

Unrestricted bequest
To New York City Ballet, Inc. a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation, presently located at David H. Koch Theater, 20 Lincoln Center, New York, NY 10023, I give (description of property)(or)(the sum of _______ dollars) (or)(all or ____ percent of the rest, residue or remainder of my estate), to be used for its general purposes.

Specific bequest

Contingent bequest
