Lars Nelson is a member of New York City Ballet’s corps de ballet. He was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and began his dance training at the age of 11 at the Grand Rapids Ballet Company. Having studied privately under SAB alumni Jefferson Baum for two years, he began studying at the School of American Ballet (SAB), the official school of New York City Ballet, during the 2006 summer course and enrolled as a full-time student in the fall of 2007. In August of 2010, Mr. Nelson became an apprentice with NYCB and the following August, he joined the Company as a member of the corps de ballet.
