This diverse program brings together two Balanchine ballets – a classic and a rarity – and three works from contemporary choreographers. From Balanchine come the celebrated pas de deux Duo Concertant and Variations Pour une Porte et un Soupir, an inventive dance performed to a recorded sound score. They are joined by Mauro Bigonzetti’s darkly powerful In Vento, Christopher Wheeldon’s ever-entrancing After the Rain Pas de Deux, and Justin Peck’s exuberantly youthful The Times Are Racing.
*Please note the program order for FEB 26 only will be: In Vento, Duo Concertant, Variations pour une Porte et un Soupir, After the Rain Pas de Deux, and The Times Are Racing.
