FAQ & GROUP TICKET POLICIES

Where is New York City Ballet located?

New York City Ballet performs at the David H. Koch Theater in Lincoln Center, located at West 63rd Street and Broadway.

Where can we park?

For groups traveling by bus or motor coach, you can drop off and pick up your party on 62nd Street at the corner of Columbus Avenue. Please request our bus parking map for details on where you can park a full motor coach.

What time should we arrive?

Audience members are admitted to the David H. Koch Theater lobby one hour prior to the start of the performance, and the auditorium opens for seating 30 minutes before curtain. If you are picking up your tickets at the Box Office, please allow at least 20 minutes to do so. If you purchased a Meet the Dancer or Meet the Musician, you need to arrive 90 minutes prior to performance time.

How long is the performance?

Performances are typically around 2 hours. Please check online for specific running times for the program you are interested in.

Is there a dress code?

New York City Ballet does not have a dress code, and we advise that patrons to dress according to their comfort level and personal style. Some patrons dress very smartly — but others choose to be more casual.

Is there an age minimum?

All patrons, including small children sitting in laps, must have a ticket to enter the theater. Most performances are appropriate for ages 5+ as long as guests are not disruptive to other patrons' enjoyment of the performance. Please be aware that anyone causing a disturbance during a performance, regardless of age, will be asked by a theater usher to leave the auditorium.

Can I bring in food and drink or purchase it at the Theater?

The David H. Koch Theater offers a selection of sandwiches, cookies, candy, and beverages for sale. Outside food and drink is not permitted, and food or drink is not allowed at your seats.

Can I take photos or videos during the performance?

The use of phones and any photography, recording, and electronic devices in the auditorium are not permitted during the performance.

Is there a gift shop?

Souvenirs may be purchased at the New York City Ballet Gift Shops, located on the Promenade level and lobby of the Theater one hour prior to performances, during intermissions, and directly following performances.

Are there seating accommodations for patrons with special needs?

New York City Ballet has several options for patrons with special access needs. Please include information in your order request so we can accommodate your needs accordingly.

Can I choose my own seats?

No, groups are not able to reserve their own seats, and specific seat requests will not be honored. We will always do our best to seat you in the section and at the price point that you request, pending availability.

Will my group be seated together?

We will accommodate your group requests, pending ticket availability of the performance. Large groups may need to be seated in two or more blocks.

Are there taxes or fees?

There is a Group Sales handling fee of $20 per group reservation, and a Facility Fee of $4 per ticket. There is no sales tax.

When is payment due?

Full payment is due 60 days prior to your scheduled performance date. If we do not receive payment 60 days prior to your performance, your tickets will be released for public sale. Additional payment options are available for orders placed less than 60 days prior to the desired performance. Please speak with your Group Sales representative for more details.

What forms of payment do you accept?

You may pay for your group order by check, MasterCard, American Express, Visa, Discover, or Diners Card. Wire transfers can also be arranged.

Can people in my group provide payment individually?

Group sales payments must be made in full by a single payment method — we do not accept individual payments for group sales.

If I purchase too many tickets, can I get a refund?

New York City Ballet does not issue refunds or exchanges for group tickets. If you are unable to find an alternate person to use your ticket, you may return the ticket/s not being used back to New York City Ballet for resale.

How do I receive my tickets?

After full payment has been received, your group tickets can either be mailed directly to you or held at the Box Office for pick up.
