Dark and sophisticated, Neverwhere sets its three couples in an otherworldly landscape as they swirl and swoon through Drones and Viola by Millepied’s frequent musical collaborator Nico Muhly.
Benjamin Millepied’s Neverwhere, set to Drones and Viola by the choreographer’s frequent musical collaborator Nico Muhly, premiered at NYCB’s 2013 Fall Gala performance. With a cast of six dancers, Neverwhere features dramatic lighting by Mark Stanley and costumes designed by Dutch fashion designer Iris van Herpen. Millepied, a former NYCB principal dancer, is the co-founder and artistic director of L.A. Dance Project.
