Shared Rain

Employing the body's response to falling precipitation as its departure point, Shared Rain coalesces an ensemble of eight in glimmering costumes performing a blend of dance styles, setting gestural phrases and slicing movements to an auralscape that ranges from organic to electronic sounds.

Jennifer Archibald’s Shared Rain is the choreographer’s first work for NYCB. Set to a selection of recordings by various artists, the ballet for eight dancers features costumes by London-based fashion designer Robert Wun and lighting by Mark Stanley.
