Pronounced by The New York Times as having “a knack for tapping into a generational mood,” Justin Peck premieres his latest work for his home company.
Justin Peck’s The Wind-Up is his 26th ballet for NYCB, and the 499th original ballet created for NYCB. With a cast of six dancers, The Wind-Up is set to the first movement of Ludwig van Beethoven’s landmark Symphony No. 3 (Eroica). Longtime collaborators Reid Bartelme and Harriet Jung, and Brandon Stirling Baker, designed the costumes and lighting respectively.
