Lucie Richard

Lucie Richard is a member of New York City Ballet’s corps de ballet. She was born in Chicago, Illinois and began her dance training at age 2 at Ballet Chicago under Daniel Duell. She attended the junior intensive at the School of American Ballet, the official school of NYCB, in 2018 and SAB summer courses in 2019, 2020, and 2021 before enrolling as a full-time student at SAB for the winter term in 2021. She became an apprentice with NYCB in August 2025 and joined the corps de ballet in May 2026.

As an SAB student, Richard performed in George Balanchine’s Serenade at NYCB as part of a celebration of SAB’s 90th anniversary. She was also a recipient of SAB’s 2025 Mae L. Wien Award for Outstanding Promise.
