Maya Milić
Maya Milić is a member of New York City Ballet’s corps de ballet. She was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, and began her dance training at age 4 at the Vancouver Junior Professional Division under Kate Robbins and Elizabeth Isabelle. She received additional training from Beverly Bagg, Monica Proenca, and Yeu-Jung Lee. Milić attended the 2016 California Workshop of the School of American Ballet, the official school of NYCB, as well as SAB summer programs in 2018 and 2019, in addition to programs at the Royal Danish Ballet School, the Paris Opera Ballet School, the Princess Grace Academy, the Royal Ballet School, and the Contemporary Ballet Performance Ensemble at the School at Jacob’s Pillow. Milić enrolled as a full-time student at SAB for the 2019 Winter term, and as a student at SAB, she performed in Peter Martins’ The Sleeping Beauty as a guest dancer with the NYCB corps de ballet. She became an apprentice with NYCB in July 2024, and as an apprentice, performed in George Balanchine’s Serenade as part of a celebration of SAB’s 90th anniversary. Milić joined the corps de ballet in July 2025.
As a student, Milić was the recipient of several awards from the World Ballet Arts Competition (2017) and Youth America Grand Prix (2013-17). She is a classically trained pianist and an honors graduate from the Manhattan School of Music’s Precollege Division. Milić also appeared as a dancer in Season 3 of the HBO Max TV series And Just Like That…
