Oscar Estep
Oscar Estep was born in San Diego, California, and began his ballet training at age 6 at the School of American Ballet, the official school of New York City Ballet. As a student, Estep performed with NYCB in George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, and La Sylphide. He also studied modern dance and choreography with Ellen Robbins, and received additional training at summer programs at the Royal Danish Ballet, Boston Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet, and Chautauqua, among other schools. Estep became an apprentice with NYCB in August 2023, and joined the corps de ballet in August 2024.
Estep was a recipient of the 2023 Mae L Wien Award.
