Derek Ratzenboeck

Derek Ratzenboeck (Second Violin) was born in Chicago, Illinois. He received his Bachelor of Music from Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, completed Postgraduate Studies at the Amsterdam Conservatory, and received his Master of Music in Violin Performance from the University of Music and Theatre Munich.

Ratzenboeck is an associate musician with the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra and has performed with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and the Louisville Orchestra. In November 2011, he joined the New York City Ballet Orchestra.
