Tanya Witek

Tanya Witek (Flute) was born in Calgary Canada. She received her Bachelor of Music from University of Calgary and her Master of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts from The Juilliard School. 

Witek as received awards from the National Flute Association Young Artist Competition, Juilliard Concerto Competition, and National Arts Society Young Artist Competition, the Juilliard's Sony ES Award for Excellence, and the Harold W. McGraw Family Foundation's The Robert Sherman Award for Music Education and Community Outreach. She has performed with the Mostly Mozart Festival Orchestra and the American Ballet Theatre Orchestra. 

In September 2013, Witek joined the New York City Ballet Orchestra.
