StudenTix
StudenTix partners with New York City Public School (NYCPS) certified arts educators to welcome elementary, middle, and high school students and their families to the David H. Koch Theater alongside our broad community of ballet supporters.
New York City Ballet’s StudenTix provides up to 200 complimentary tickets to 5 regularly-scheduled performances each year. Certified NYCPS arts educators can apply for up to 40 tickets per show for themselves, students, and their families to attend. Participants will receive a performance guide that includes information about theater etiquette, historical and artistic context for the repertory, and exclusive behind-the-scenes interviews with NYCB choreographers.
As part of New York City Ballet’s ongoing commitment to increasing access to the ballet and empowering community through meaningful engagement, StudenTix also creates opportunities for student agency and reflection through post-performance learning experiences. Middle school and high school arts educators can also indicate interest in a complimentary in-school post-performance movement workshop, led by an NYCB Teaching Artist. This movement workshop is based on NYCB repertory from the StudenTix performance and invites students to learn NYCB movements and create their own collaborative work.
