Access Workshops for Children

Virtual Children's Access Workshops will not be offered during Fall 2022.
Join the artists of New York City Ballet for a series of movement workshops designed especially for children with disabilities, livestreamed on Zoom.
Recommended for Children Ages 4–12
Each 45-minute movement workshop will be co-led by a pair of NYCB dancers and will include a warm-up and choreography inspired by some of NYCB's most treasured repertory.
Movement options will be offered throughout, and young movers of all abilities and their siblings are welcome. ASL interpretation and closed-captioning accommodations available for livestream events.

Dancer instructors for each event will be announced here the week before each workshop takes place. Instructors are subject to change.

Workshop livestreams are free of charge, advance registration required
$8 per workshop livestream with access to workshop recording for 21 days
Ticket reservations are available for up to 15 minutes before the livestream begins.
FAQs
Your order confirmation from NYCB will contain the Zoom details. If you purchase in advance of the event, we’ll also send you a reminder the day before the workshops with the link. A few minutes before the workshop is scheduled to begin, please click the Zoom link or use the Meeting ID to join. You will enter a Zoom waiting room and an NYCB host will admit you to the workshop.
Your order confirmation will be emailed from customercare@nycballet.com and the reminder will come from education@nycballet.com. Please check your spam and promotions folder for these messages. If you are still unable to find either email, please contact us at education@nycballet.com for assistance.
The dancers will provide standing and seated versions of exercises throughout the workshop, and will move at a pace conducive for all learners. While movement options will be provided, we encourage you to move at your own pace and perform movement choices based on your own specific needs, as you know your body best!
That is entirely up to you! You will have the ability to enable your camera during the workshop but if you would prefer to be off-camera, you are more than welcome to do so.
Yes, absolutely. An NYCB host will be available to answer any questions while the workshop is in session and the dancers are teaching.
If you are interested in viewing the workshop at a later time, please purchase a $8 ticket which will give you 21-day access to a workshop recording.
Workshop recordings will be emailed to all eligible ticket buyers within 72 hours of the workshop livestream.
