Ballet Breaks

Saturdays & Mondays at 11 AM EST

Experience New York City Ballet from your home with these lively Saturday morning movement workshops, powered by Zoom.

For Children Ages 3-8; no prior dance training needed.

Get your family moving alongside the artists of NYCB with Ballet Breaks. Each 30-minute workshop will be taught by a different NYCB dancer who will lead your little ones through a warm-up and choreography inspired by George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker®. Stretch, twirl, and leap with us as we journey to the Land of Sweets where we will explore basic ballet concepts and learn a new dance together each week.

For an even more magical experience this holiday season, explore our Nutcracker Magic Pass packages, that includes access to all Ballet Breaks events and a host of Nutcracker goodies, including the opportunity to meet an NYCB dancer.

Instructor Schedule

Dancer instructors for each Ballet Breaks will be announced here the week before each workshop takes place. Instructors are subject to change.

DEC 5 – Soloist Lauren King, focusing on the Waltz of the Snowflakes
