Experience New York City Ballet from home with these virtual repertory-based movement workshops, livestreamed on Zoom.
For teens and adults of all levels; some introductory ballet knowledge is helpful.
Fans from around the world can now attend Ballet Essentials Online, NYCB’s in-demand movement workshop series. Each 75-minute workshop will be conducted by NYCB artists who will lead viewers through a ballet warm-up and choreography inspired by a beloved ballet from our repertory.
At the end of the workshop, you'll have an opportunity to learn more about the artists in an interactive Q&A. Stretch your body and mind with these one-of-a-kind workshops led by some of your favorite Company dancers.

Instructor Schedule
Dancer instructors for each Ballet Essentials Online will be announced here the week before each workshop takes place. Instructors are subject to change.
Ticket Pricing
$8 per workshop livestream
$16 per workshop livestream plus access to workshop recording for 21 days
Tickets are available for purchase up to 15 minutes before the livestream begins.
FAQs
Your order confirmation from NYCB will contain the Zoom details. If you purchase in advance of the event, we'll also send you a reminder the day before the workshop with the link. A few minutes before the workshop is scheduled to begin, please click the Zoom link or use the Meeting ID to join. You will enter a Zoom waiting room and an NYCB host will admit you to the workshop.
Your order confirmation will be emailed from customercare@nycballet.com and the reminder will come from education@nycballet.com. Please check your spam and promotions folder for these messages. If you are still unable to find either email, please contact us at education@nycballet.com for assistance.
That is entirely up to you! You will have the ability to enable your camera during the workshop but if you would prefer to be off-camera, you are more than welcome to do so.
Yes, absolutely. An NYCB host will be available to answer any questions while the workshop is in session and the dancer is teaching. At the conclusion of each workshop, there will be a Q&A session with the dancer when you will have the opportunity to submit your questions.
If you are interested in viewing the workshop at a later time, please purchase a $16 ticket which will give you 21-day access to a workshop recording. Workshop recordings will be emailed to all eligible ticket buyers within 72 hours of the workshop livestream.
Yes! If you are interested in purchasing Ballet Essentials Online as a gift, please proceed in making your ticket purchase and email education@nycballet.com for further instructions on how to best share the workshop login details with your gift recipient.
