Join the esteemed dancers of New York City Ballet for an exciting new weekly series of virtual ballet classes, powered by Zoom.
For intermediate- to advanced-level teen and adult dancers who have a minimum of five years of training, technical proficiency, and a comprehensive understanding of ballet technique.
Led by a different NYCB dancer each week, these hour-long classes will consist of a barre and abridged center work, exploring George Balanchine’s signature aesthetic. Classes will focus on qualities that make New York City Ballet unique, including musicality, port de bras and epaulement, speed, precision, and control.
Dancer instructors and class topic for each Signature Steps will be announced here the week before each class takes place. Instructors are subject to change.
Sep 30 – Principal Dancer Teresa Reichlen, focusing on Balanchine port de bras.
