Stravinsky/Balanchine: The Collaboration

Join NYCB for a special presentation illuminating the extraordinary creative partnership of Igor Stravinsky and George Balanchine, one of the most important collaborations in the 20th-century arts. Of the more than 400 works Balanchine choreographed in his lifetime, 39 were set to music by Stravinsky. Together they paved the way for classical ballet a a modern art form in America. Featuring discussion and excerpts performed from some of Stravinsky and Balanchine's innovative works, this program will celebrate and explore their decades-long artistic relationship.
