AN AUDIENCE-AMUSING ROBBINS CLASSIC GIVES WAY TO THREE NEW WORKS
An evening rich with discoveries begins with Jerome Robbins’ The Four Seasons, an expansive audience favorite that explores the gamut of analogies and emotions for each period of the year. Artist in Residence Alexei Ratmansky’s Fandango, a “seven-minute tour de force” (The New York Times), brings a solo dancer into lively, sinuous conversation with the six musicians sharing the stage, performing Luigi Boccherini’s Spanish dance of the same name for string quartet, guitar, and percussion. Following its debut at the spring gala, Resident Choreographer Justin Peck’s newest work for the company returns, joined by the world premiere of a new work by Principal Dancer Tiler Peck.
