Sensory-Friendly Performance

MAY 16

On sale to public: Aug 3, 2026, 12:00 PM

A RELAXED THEATERGOING EXPERIENCE

This specially curated performance is designed to provide a relaxed, inclusive environment where families with young children and audiences with autism, sensory and communication disorders, or learning disabilities can experience New York City Ballet. Modifications will include a relaxed entry/exit policy, adjustments to lighting and sound levels, designated break areas throughout the Theater, additional event staffing to assist with audience needs, and pre-visit resources, including a social narrative. This one-time-only performance opens with one of NYCB’s signature works, George Balanchine’s iconic Serenade, set to a shimmering all-strings Tschaikovsky score. Jerome Robbins’ The Four Seasons closes the program, bringing audiences on a journey through the seasons from frosty fun to an autumnal bacchanal accompanied by Verdi’s sweeping melodies.

While Sensory-Friendly Performances are not available on subscription packages, 26-27 Season subscribers will have priority access to purchase add-on single tickets for these performances before sales open to the general public.
