The Young Patrons Circle’s annual Balanchine Ball returns on Friday, October 16, for an unforgettable evening celebrating the artistry, spirit, and legacy of George Balanchine at New York City Ballet.
The evening begins with the Eclectic NYCB I program, featuring works by Christopher Wheeldon, Artist in Residence Alexei Ratmansky, and George Balanchine. Following the performance, guests will gather on the theater’s luminous Promenade for cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and dancing.
Inspired by Balanchine’s deep affection for French music and the wit, elegance, and charm of Bourrée Fantasque, which closes the evening’s performance, guests are encouraged to dress in black tie with a touch of Parisian flair. The themed attire draws from the effervescent charm of Emmanuel Chabrier’s music and Balanchine’s sparkling choreography, blending formal elegance with playful French-inspired details.

IMPORTANT: Performance and party tickets are sold separately. A valid ticket for the October 16 performance is required in order to attend the Balanchine Ball. Party tickets do not include admission to the performance.
Young Patrons Circle members receive event invitations via email, which include RSVP instructions and deadlines. An RSVP is required to attend all YPC events, and complimentary party tickets are not issued automatically.
