The NYCB Rose Studios are used for New York City Ballet rehearsals and events and have limited availability.

Please check studio availability by emailing RoseStudio@nycballet.com before submitting a rental request.

Hours of Operation: Monday – Friday 10 AM – 7 PM

If you require a multi-day rental and need the studios beyond our regular hours of operation, we may be able to accommodate your needs.

  • Full day: $850 per studio
  • Half day (4 hours or less): $500 per studio

Required Documents

We require a certificate of insurance (COI) for all Rose Studio rentals. The COI must be submitted at least two weeks prior to the first day of your rental.

Certificate of Insurance Requirements:

  • New York City Ballet, its directors, officers, employees and agents must be listed as "Additional Insured"
  • Must be issued by an insurance carrier retaining a rating of "A" and acceptable to NYCB Employer's Liability having a single limit of at least $100,000 per occurrence.
  • Broad Form Comprehensive General Liability having a combined single limit (bodily injury, property damage and personal injury) of at least $1,000,000 per occurrence, $2,000,000 aggregate, with a minimum of $1,000,000 available to cover claims that may arise from the rental
  • All risk property insurance for full replacement value (with the New York standard extended coverage clause) of all properties and materials owned, rented or brought into the Rose Studios by the renter.

A list of all participants for your event must be submitted at least three days in advance.

The maximum studio capacity is 80. We also have a floor maximum capacity of 150.

Yes. However, chairs/risers do not come with your rental agreement and must be rented through Lincoln Center. If you are a Lincoln Center constituent, you will be billed directly by Lincoln Center. If you are not a Lincoln Center constituent, you will receive a bill from NYCB.

Yes. We have a few extra chairs and tables in the closet space next to the studios. You may ask our 8th floor lobby staff to open up the closet in order to access these chairs and tables.

There are barres on three walls. The wall with mirror does not have barres, but there are portable barres in the space.

Yes. There is a thermostat in each studio.

No.

Our studios have CD/DVD players and your are welcome to use them. However, the media equipment is not an amenity guaranteed by the contract, and we do not provide any technical support. If having functional media equipment is important to your event, we highly recommend that you bring your own equipment.

Yes, but you need to make arrangements with Lincoln Center. Please contact NYCB (RoseStudio@nycballet.com) to make these arrangements.

The studios only support standard electricity usage. If you have equipment that requires extra power, you need to make arrangements with Lincoln Center at an additional fee. Please contact NYCB (RoseStudio@nycballet.com) to make these arrangements.
