WARNING ABOUT UNOFFICIAL TICKET SELLERS
The only official website for purchasing New York City Ballet Repertory performances and George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker® tickets is nycballet.com. Purchasing tickets from any other seller or website runs a risk of receiving fraudulent tickets or paying extremely inflated prices. Tickets purchased from any other source that appear to have been altered, or are deemed fraudulent, will not be accepted and you will not be allowed entry.
New York City Ballet is not responsible for tickets purchased through unauthorized third parties such as ticket brokers or ticket resale websites. Tickets purchased from third parties may not be valid and may be unusable for admittance, and we cannot replace lost or stolen third-party tickets. Additionally, we will be unable to contact holders of such tickets about program changes or cancellations. Help us serve you in the best manner possible by purchasing your tickets only through the New York City Ballet — either in person at our box office, by phone at 212-496-0600, or online at nycballet.com.
Please check your curtain time before traveling to the theater. New York City Ballet performances begin at the announced start time, and in deference to the viewing and listening pleasure of the audience in the auditorium, and to the performers onstage, there is no late seating. Latecomers will be seated only during an intermission or when the curtain has dropped for a pause in the performance. Patrons who leave the auditorium before or during a work will also not be reseated until the pause or intermission.
We regret that we cannot replace or refund tickets for performances you miss.
All single ticket purchases for performances and events are final; there are no refunds or exchanges.
Purchases on nycballet.com, at the Theater Box Office, or through the Call Center have a 14 ticket limit for repertory season performances and 19 ticket limit for Nutcracker performances. If bulk purchasing is detected on the part of individuals, households, bots, patrons, or companies creating duplicate accounts to purchase more than the stated limit, orders may be cancelled without consideration.
Standard Series subscribers and Create Your Own Series subscribers with six or more performances make exchanges at no cost. Create Your Own Series subscribers with five or fewer performances exchange with a $8 fee per ticket. Exchanges are valid for fall, winter, and spring repertory performances within the season of purchase only, are subject to availability, and must be made no later than one day in advance of the originally scheduled performance. Subscription tickets cannot be exchanged into Art Series dates or Nutcracker performances. The difference of ticket cost will be incurred by Standard Series subscribers exchanging out of specially-priced performances.
There are no refunds on subscription packages once tickets have been processed and/or mailed. For more information, please visit the subscriptions page or call the Subscription Office at 212-496-0600, Monday–Saturday from 10 AM–8 PM and Sunday 12–5 PM.
If subscription ticket purchasing is detected on the part of individuals, households, or accounts with a history of purchasing bulk tickets, or on the part of individuals, households, accounts, bots, patrons, or companies creating duplicate accounts to conceal previous bulk ticket purchasing, orders may be cancelled without consideration.
If you have lost your ticket/s or have not received via the US Postal Service (for hard copy tickets) or email (for print at home tickets), please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or call us at (212) 496-0600.
Rush tickets with preferential pricing are available two ways for select repertory performances: through our $30 for 30 program, for patrons age 13-30.
Please note that rush tickets are not available for performances of George Balanchine's The Nutcracker®
In the unlikely event that we must cancel a performance, we will contact ticket holders via email regarding refund procedures. Updated information about accommodations for inclement weather will be posted on our homepage when applicable.
MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENTS
All patrons, including small children sitting in laps, must have a ticket to enter the theater. All performances are appropriate for ages 5+ as long as guests are not disruptive to other patrons' enjoyment of the performance. Please be aware that anyone causing a disturbance during a performance, regardless of age, will be asked by a theater usher to leave the auditorium.
Sales associates at 212-496-0600 are happy to assist in selecting the best performances and/or public programs based on your family's ages and interests, including one-hour Family Saturdays on our main stage and interactive Children’s Workshops and In Motion Workshops.
New York City Ballet does not have a dress code, and we advise that patrons to dress according to their comfort level and personal style. Some patrons dress very smartly — but others choose to be more casual. For galas and other special events, please check your invitation for the requested attire.
