With safety for all at the forefront, all Ballet Essentials participants must be fully vaccinated and will be required to  present proof of vaccination to be admitted to the Studios. Please see below for our comprehensive health and safety protocols.

Experience New York City Ballet in a brand new way in these 75-minute movement workshops for teens and adults with little or no dance training.

NYCB dancers lead participants through a ballet warm-up and movement combinations inspired by repertory in the current season. Workshops also include a brief Q&A with the artists. With an ever-changing roster of dancers and repertory, no two Ballet Essentials are the same. Stretch your mind and body at these one-of-a-kind workshops led by some of your favorite dancers.

Your Safety

We are thrilled to welcome visitors back to NYCB’s Rehearsal Studios in the Samuel B. & David Rose Building (the “Studios”) for in-person events. New York City Ballet remains deeply committed to the health and safety of our visitors, artists, and staff. In compliance with developing guidelines issued by federal, state, and local governments, we have put in place preventative measures to try to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

All Ballet Essentials participants must be fully vaccinated and will be required to present proof of vaccination authorized by the FDA or WHO, against COVID-19 to be admitted to the Studios. As a further tool to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, NYCB will require proper mask usage for all patrons, regardless of age or vaccination status, at all Public Programs. If a potential workshop attendee remains unvaccinated because of a disability or sincerely held religious belief, that person may contact the New York City Ballet in writing for assistance or to request a reasonable accommodation by sending an email to customercare@nycballet.com.

Based on CDC and New York State guidelines at the time of your visit, additional entry requirements may include a contact tracing survey, limitations on belongings in the Studios, assigned entry times, contactless temperature check, social distancing, and more. Please check back here for updates on our complete and most up-to-date protocol, which is subject to change.

NYCB's Public Programs are generously sponsored by The Travelers Companies, Inc.
