In Motion Workshops
Saturdays at 12:30 PM and Sundays at 1:30 PM
Event Dates
Join the artists of New York City Ballet in these 45-minute movement explorations of the music and themes of a ballet featured in the matinee performance.
For Children Ages 8-12
Each workshop includes a ballet warm-up, a movement combination with choreography inspired by the featured ballet and a brief interview with NYCB dancers. No prior dance training needed, and children without dance experience are encouraged to attend.

Dancer instructors for In Motion will be announced here the week before each workshop takes place. Instructors are subject to change.

TICKET PRICING
$15 per person
Please note that both children and adults need a ticket in order to attend this event.
ATTIRE
Clothing that is comfortable to move in. Ballet shoes are optional.

Your Safety
New York City Ballet requires proper mask usage for all employees and visitors at all workshops taking place in the Samuel B. & David Rose Building (“the Studios”).
Visitors attending workshops will be required to either present proof of full vaccination, authorized by the FDA or WHO, against COVID-19 (i.e., two weeks after the final dose in the primary series of vaccination), or proof of a negative COVID-19 test (PCR test administered within 48 hours of the event or a rapid antigen test administered on the day of the event), in order to be admitted to the Studios.
