Set to a bright and colorfully textured commissioned score from Ellis Ludwig-Leone, Common Ground is a vivid work full of cheerful camaraderie and fluid, often witty and seemingly impromptu movements. 

NYCB dancer Troy Schumacher’s second work for NYCB, Common Ground, premiered at the 2015 Fall Gala. Ellis Ludwig-Leone, the frontman and acclaimed composer for the baroque pop band San Fermin, contributed the score, his first commission from NYCB. The ballet for seven dancers features costumes by fashion designers Marta Marques and Paulo Almeida, founders of the London-based womenswear label Marques ' Almeida, and lighting by Mark Stanley.
