Featuring scenic drops evoking sweeping landscapes and glowing ombre unitards designed by artist Kylie Manning, Christopher Wheeldon’s From You Within Me peers into a somber yet mutable environment, amplified by Schoenberg's string score Verklärte Nacht (German for "transfigured night”), where an individual experiences the trepidation of separating from the mass.

Christopher Wheeldon’s From You Within Me is the former NYCB Resident Choreographer’s 22nd ballet created for the Company. Set to Arnold Schoenberg’s Verklärte Nacht, the ballet for 12 dancers features scenic design by acclaimed Alaskan painter Kylie Manning, costume design by Manning and NYCB Director of Costumes Marc Happel, and lighting design by Mary Louise Geiger.
