Justin Peck’s Solo features a single dancer whose movements ebb and flow to Samuel Barber’s treasured Adagio for Strings.

Choreographed by NYCB Resident Choreographer and Artistic Advisor Justin Peck for Principal Dancer Anthony Huxley, Solo was created for NYCB’s 2021 Digital Spring Gala film, which was directed by Sofia Coppola. The 2022 Fall Fashion Gala marked the ballet’s live performance premiere. Set to Samuel Barber’s Adagio for Strings, the live performances of Solo include new costume design by fashion designer Raf Simons and lighting by Mark Stanley.
